One way to ensure that therapists have been adequately trained is to ensure that they are members of the National College and have gone through extensive training and passed examinations set by the College.
All members are required to follow a professional code of ethics and carry professional indemnity insurance. an enquiry to the National College will establish whether a therapist is recorded on the register.

Sue has held a clinic in Mid Wales for over 20 years, before which she worked in Texas,
Loughborough, Gloucester and Cheltenham. She has over 50 years experience of hypnotherapy, 
both in America and the UK. She now hold consultations from home in Llangammarch Wells.
She has appeared several times on television as a consultant hypnotherapist,
 specializing in phobias, panic attacks, PTSD and lack of confidence.
She took an honours degree in psychology with the Open University while she was a professional musician and, being enthusiastic about the effects of hypnosis on performance nerves,
studied with the National College in London.
After graduating, Sue set up a practice in Gloucester, then worked in Texas for a while
before she moved back to the UK.
Sue give talks to groups for the cost of her travelling expenses.
